مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ وَ قَدْ سُئِلَ عَنِ الطِّلَاءِ فَقَالَ إِنْ طُبِخَ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ مِنْهُ اثْنَانِ وَ يَبْقَى وَاحِدٌ فَهُوَ حَلَالٌ وَ مَا كَانَ دُونَ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَ فِيهِ خَيْرٌ .
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad Ali ibn al-Hakam from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, when he was asked about al-Tila’; ‘If it is cooked and boiled until its two-thirds have evaporated and only one-third has remained it then is lawful for use and if it has evaporated less it is devoid of goodness.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ الْعَصِيرَ إِذَا طُبِخَ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُهُ فَهُوَ حَلَالٌ .
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘ Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If juice (grape juice) is boiled until its two-thirds are evaporated and only one-third has remained, it then is lawful for use.’”

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِذَا زَادَ الطِّلَاءُ عَلَى الثُّلُثِ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ .
3. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Mansur ibn Hazim from ibn abu Ya‘fur who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If al-Tila ’ (the remaining boiled juice) is more than one-third it is unlawful for use.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الرَّجُلُ يُهْدِي إِلَيَّ الْبُخْتُجَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَصْحَابِنَا فَقَالَ ( عليه السلام ) إِنْ كَانَ مِمَّنْ يَسْتَحِلُّ الْمُسْكِرَ فَلَا تَشْرَبْهُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ مِمَّنْ لَا يَسْتَحِلُّ شُرْبَهُ فَاقْبَلْهُ أَوْ قَالَ اشْرَبْهُ .

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who recommends the use of boiled juice (grape juice) and he is not one of our people. He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is one who considers intoxicating substances lawful, then do not use it but if he considers it unlawful then you can use it for drink,’ or that he (the Imam) said, ‘You can drink it.’”

ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا كَانَ يَخْضِبُ الْإِنَاءَ فَاشْرَبْهُ .
5. Ibn abu ‘Umayr has narrated from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘When two-thirds of juice (grape juice) is evaporated (because of boiling) then you can drink it.’”

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْبُخْتُجِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ حُلْواً يَخْضِبُ الْإِنَاءَ وَ قَالَ صَاحِبُهُ قَدْ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ بَقِيَ الثُّلُثُ فَاشْرَبْهُ .
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about al-Bakhtaj (boiled juice). He (the Imam) said, ‘If it is sweet with an indication of two-thirds being evaporated and the owner also says that two- thirds have been evaporated, only one-third has remained, then you can drink it.’”

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ بِالْحَقِّ يَأْتِينِي بِالْبُخْتُجِ وَ يَقُولُ قَدْ طُبِخَ عَلَى الثُّلُثِ وَ أَنَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يَشْرَبُهُ عَلَى النِّصْفِ أَ فَأَشْرَبُهُ بِقَوْلِهِ وَ هُوَ يَشْرَبُهُ عَلَى النِّصْفِ فَقَالَ لَا تَشْرَبْهُ فَقُلْتُ فَرَجُلٌ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ مِمَّنْ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ يَشْرَبُهُ عَلَى الثُّلُثِ وَ لَا يَسْتَحِلُّهُ عَلَى النِّصْفِ يُخْبِرُنَا أَنَّ عِنْدَهُ بُخْتُجاً عَلَى الثُّلُثِ قَدْ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ بَقِيَ ثُلُثُهُ نَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from Yunus ibn Ya‘qub from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who knows the truth and brings boiled juice (grape juice). He says that it is cooked until two-thirds are evaporated but I know that he drinks even when only half is evaporated; if I can drink it while he drinks only when one-half is evaporated. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not drink it.’ I then asked about the case of a man who is not of the people who know the truth, and we do not know him but he drinks only when two-thirds of juice are evaporated. He does not consider it lawful to drink after one-half is evaporated and he informs us about a boiled juice (grape juice), says that its two-thirds have evaporated and only one-third is left; if we can drink it. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can drink it.’”

الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِذَا شَرِبَ الرَّجُلُ النَّبِيذَ الْمَخْمُورَ فَلَا تَجُوزُ شَهَادَتُهُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ وَ لَوْ كَانَ يَصِفُ مَا تَصِفُونَ .
8. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Ishaq from Bakr ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Ya‘fur who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one drinks intoxicating al-Nabidh his testimony is not acceptable in any of the drinks, even if he believes in what you believe.’”

بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِذَا زَادَ الطِّلَاءُ عَلَى الثُّلُثِ أُوقِيَّةً فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ .
9. Certain persons of our people have narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from Mansur from ibn abu Ya‘fur who has said the following: “If al-Tila’ is more than one-third even by one ritl (a certain unit of measurement) it then is unlawful.’”

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الزَّبِيبِ هَلْ يَصْلُحُ أَنْ يُطْبَخَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ طَعْمُهُ ثُمَّ يُؤْخَذَ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءُ فَيُطْبَخَ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ يَبْقَى الثُّلُثُ ثُمَّ يُرْفَعَ وَ يُشْرَبَ مِنْهُ السَّنَةَ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .
10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Musa ibn al-Qasim from Ali ibn Ja‘far from his brother abu al- Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about raisins; if it can be boiled to extract its sweetness, then that water is boiled until its two-thirds are evaporated and only one-third is left; then it is taken away to use for drink during the year. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ أَخَذَ عَشَرَةَ أَرْطَالٍ مِنْ عَصِيرِ الْعِنَبِ فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِ عِشْرِينَ رِطْلًا مَاءً وَ طَبَخَهَا حَتَّى ذَهَبَ مِنْهُ عِشْرُونَ رِطْلًا وَ بَقِيَ عَشَرَةُ أَرْطَالٍ أَ يَصْلُحُ شُرْبُ ذَلِكَ أَمْ لَا فَقَالَ مَا طُبِخَ عَلَى ثُلُثِهِ فَهُوَ حَلَالٌ .
11. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah from ‘Uqbah ibn Khalid who has said the following: “About the case of a man who takes ten ritl of grape juice, then pours in it twenty ritl of water, then boils it until twenty ritl of it is evaporated and only ten ritl is left; if it can be used for drink or not. He (the Imam) said, ‘What is cooked until only one-third remains it is lawful.’”
