The Effect of Conjugal Relation on Mahr

1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ دُخُولُ الرَّجُلِ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ يَهْدِمُ الْعَاجِلَ.
1. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Salih ibn abu Hammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘A man’s going to bed with his woman destroys immediate payability of mahr (dower) which was for immediate payment.’”

2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ وَيَدْخُلُ بِهَا ثُمَّ تَدَّعِي عَلَيْهِ مَهْرَهَا فَقَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ بِهَا فَقَدْ هَدَمَ الْعَاجِلَ.
2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Najran from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “About the case of a man who marries a woman and goes to bed with her, then she asks for payment of mahr (dower), abu Ja’far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘His going to bed with her destroys immediate payability of mahr (dower) which was for immediate payment.’”

3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَدْخُلُ بِالْمَرْأَةِ ثُمَّ تَدَّعِي عَلَيْهِ مَهْرَهَا فَقَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ بِهَا فَقَدْ هَدَمَ الْعَاجِلَ.
3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “About the case of a man who goes to bed with a woman, then she asks for payment of mahr (dower), abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘When he goes to bed with her the condition of immediate payment is destroyed.’”
