3 hadiths

1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ بَشَّارٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ النِّكَاحِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ مَنْ خَطَبَ إِلَيْكُمْ فَرَضِيتُمْ دِينَهُ وَأَمَانَتَهُ فَزَوِّجُوهُ إِلا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الأرْضِ وَفَسادٌ كَبِيرٌ.
1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Husayn ibn Bashshar al-Wasitiy who has said the following: “I once wrote to abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, and asked him about marriage. He (the Imam) wrote back to me the answer that said, ‘If one proposes marriage and if you are happy with that person’s religion and trust, then accept his proposal. If you do not do so there will be mischief in the land and a great destruction.’”

2- سَهْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ قَالَ كَتَبَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَسْبَاطٍ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي أَمْرِ بَنَاتِهِ وَأَنَّهُ لا يَجِدُ أَحَداً مِثْلَهُ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَهِمْتُ مَا ذَكَرْتَ مِنْ أَمْرِ بَنَاتِكَ وَأَنَّكَ لا تَجِدُ أَحَداً مِثْلَكَ فَلا تَنْظُرْ فِي ذَلِكَ رَحِمَكَ اللهُ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) قَالَ إِذَا جَاءَكُمْ مَنْ تَرْضَوْنَ خُلُقَهُ وَدِينَهُ فَزَوِّجُوهُ إِلا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الأرْضِ وَفَسادٌ كَبِيرٌ.
2. Sahl ibn Ziyad Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from all from Ali ibn Mahziyar from who has said the following: “Ali ibn Asbat once wrote to abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the issue of his daughters and that he cannot find anyone as equal match for them. He (the Imam), ‘Alayhi al-Salam, wrote to him, ‘I understood what you have written about the issue of your daughters that you do not find anyone as their equal match, you must not see to it, may Allah grant you kindness, because the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “If one proposes marriage and you are happy with his character and religion, then accept his proposal. If you do not do so mischief and great destruction will take place in the land.’”

3- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمَذَانِيِّ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي التَّزْوِيجِ فَأَتَانِي كِتَابُهُ بِخَطِّهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِذَا جَاءَكُمْ مَنْ تَرْضَوْنَ خُلُقَهُ وَدِينَهُ فَزَوِّجُوهُ إِلا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الأرْضِ وَفَسادٌ كَبِيرٌ.
3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Hamadaniy who has said the following: “I once wrote to abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about marriage then his letter came to me with his handwriting that said, ‘The Messenger of Allah, ‘O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “If one proposes marriage and you are happy with his health and religion then accept his proposal. If you do not do so mischief and great destruction may take place in the land.’”
