2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Malik ibn ‘Ushaym certain persons of his people who have said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Marry woman of brunette color, wide buttocks and of medium height. If you disliked, her mahr (dowry) is on me.’”

3. Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Al-Rida’, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, once said to me, ‘If you want to marry, marry a woman of large buttocks.’”

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from certain persons of our people in a marfu’ manner has said the following: “When the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, wanted to marry a woman he would send a woman to examine her with the instruction, ‘Smell her neck; if it smells fine her scent smells fine, and if her soles are full, her knees are large.’”

5. Ahmad has narrated from his father from Ali ibn al-Nu’man from his brother from Dawud ibn al-Nu’man from abu Ayyub al- Khazzaz who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘I have put to the test white and dark color slave-girls. There is a great difference between them.’” (It may also mean both kinds are good)

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Marry blue colored eyes; it is a sign of good fortune.’”

7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Bakr ibn Salih from certain persons of his people who have said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is of the well-being of a man who on moving aside the veil of a woman finds her white.’”
