1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) إِنِّي أَكُونُ فِي بَعْضِ الطُّرُقَاتِ فَأَرَى الْمَرْأَةَ الْحَسْنَاءَ وَلا آمَنُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ذَاتَ بَعْلٍ أَوْ مِنَ الْعَوَاهِرِ قَالَ لَيْسَ هَذَا عَلَيْكَ إِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تُصَدِّقَهَا فِي نَفْسِهَا.
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn Ali from Muhammad ibn Aslam from Ibrahim ibn al-Fadl from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘I may find on my way a beautiful woman but I am not certain if she is married or is a prostitute.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not your responsibility; you can accept her words.’”

2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ مُيَسِّرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَلْقَى الْمَرْأَةَ بِالْفَلاةِ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ فَأَقُولُ لَهَا هَلْ لَكِ زَوْجٌ فَتَقُولُ لا فَأَتَزَوَّجُهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ هِيَ الْمُصَدَّقَةُ عَلَى نَفْسِهَا.
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah from Muyassir who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘I may find a woman in the wilderness where she has no one and I ask her if she has a husband. She says that she does not have a husband; if I can marry her. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so; her words are accepted.’”
