5 hadiths
1
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الَّذِي يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ الله أَ يُغَسَّلُ وَيُكَفَّنُ وَيُحَنَّطُ قَالَ يُدْفَنُ كَمَا هُوَ فِي ثِيَابِهِ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ بِهِ رَمَقٌ ثُمَّ مَاتَ فَإِنَّهُ يُغَسَّلُ وَيُكَفَّنُ وَيُحَنَّطُ وَيُصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ رَسُولَ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) صَلَّى عَلَى حَمْزَةَ وَكَفَّنَهُ لأَنَّهُ كَانَ قَدْ جُرِّدَ.
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-Husayn ibn ‘Uthman from ibn Muskan from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about those who are killed in the way of Allah, are Ghusl (bath), shroud and hunut done for them? He (the Imam) said, ‘They are buried as they are found in their clothes, unless found alive, then die in which case Ghusl (bath), shroud, hunut and Salah (prayer) are done for them. The Messenger of Allah performed Salah (prayer) for Hamzah and his body was placed in the shroud because his clothes were looted.’”

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ وَزُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ الشَّهِيدُ يُدْفَنُ بِدِمَائِهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فِي ثِيَابِهِ بِدِمَائِهِ وَلاَ يُحَنَّطُ وَلاَ يُغَسَّلُ وَيُدْفَنُ كَمَا هُوَ ثُمَّ قَالَ دَفَنَ رَسُولُ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَمَّهُ حَمْزَةَ فِي ثِيَابِهِ بِدِمَائِهِ الَّتِي أُصِيبَ فِيهَا وَرَدَّاهُ النَّبِيُّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) بِرِدَاءٍ فَقَصُرَ عَنْ رِجْلَيْهِ فَدَعَا لَهُ بِإِذْخِرٍ فَطَرَحَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعِينَ صَلاَةً وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ سَبْعِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً.
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from ’Isma‘il ibn Jabir and Zurarah from who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the martyr who is buried with his blood (not washed clean). He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he is buried in his clothes, with his blood, without, hunut and Ghusl (bath) and is buried as he is found.’ He (the Imam) then said, ‘The Messenger of Allah buried his uncle Hamzah in his clothes, with his blood, in which he was hurt and the Holy prophet used his own gown for him, but it came short from the side of his legs. He (the Messenger of Allah) asked for ‘Idhkhir (a certain plant) as cover and he then covered him, performed Salah (prayer) - seventy Salah (prayer) and seventy Takbir.’”

3ـ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يَقُولُ الشَّهِيدُ إِذَا كَانَ بِهِ رَمَقٌ غُسِّلَ وَكُفِّنَ وَحُنِّطَ وَصُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِهِ رَمَقٌ دُفِنَ فِي أَثْوَابِهِ.
3. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad from more than one person from Aban from abu Maryam who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, say, ‘A martyr if found alive is given Ghusl (bath), shroud, hunut and Salah (prayer) is performed for him. If he is found dead he is buried in his clothes.’”

4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُلْوَانَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ آبَائِهِ (عَلَيْهِم الْسَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يُنْزَعُ عَنِ الشَّهِيدِ الْفَرْوُ وَالْخُفُّ وَالْقَلَنْسُوَةُ وَالْعِمَامَةُ وَ الْمِنْطَقَةُ وَالسَّرَاوِيلُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَصَابَهُ دَمٌ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ دَمٌ تُرِكَ وَلاَ يُتْرَكُ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ مَعْقُودٌ إِلاَّ حُلَّ.
4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from abu al-Jawza’ from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan from ‘Amr ibn Khalid from Zayd ibn Ali from his ancestors, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, who has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Skull-cap, shoes, turban, loincloth and trousers are removed from a martyr unless they have become bloody in which case, they are left with, him and everything tied down with him is turned loose and open.’”

5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يَقُولُ الَّذِي يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ الله يُدْفَنُ فِي ثِيَابِهِ وَلاَ يُغَسَّلُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يُدْرِكَهُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَبِهِ رَمَقٌ ثُمَّ يَمُوتَ بَعْدُ فَإِنَّهُ يُغَسَّلُ وَيُكَفَّنُ وَيُحَنَّطُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) كَفَّنَ حَمْزَةَ فِي ثِيَابِهِ وَلَمْ يُغَسِّلْهُ وَلَكِنَّهُ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ.
5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub ibn Sinan from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, say, ‘Those who are killed in the way of Allah are buried with their clothes without Ghusl (bath) unless Muslims find him alive and then he dies afterward, in which case Ghusl (bath), shroud and hunut are done for him. The Messenger of Allah buried Hamzah with his clothes without Ghusl (bath) but he (the Messenger of Allah) performed Salah (prayer) for him.’”
