The Age of Children during Which Women Can Wash Their Bodies

1ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ النُّمَيْرِ مَوْلَى الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) حَدِّثْنِي عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ إِلَى كَمْ تُغَسِّلُهُ النِّسَاءُ فَقَالَ إِلَى ثَلاَثِ سِنِينَ.
1. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya’qub from ibn Numayr, Mawla’ al-Harith ibn al-Mughirah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, up to what age a child can be given Ghusl (bath) by women? He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is up to three years of age.’”
