The One Whose Prayer is Accepted

1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الله الْقُمِّيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ ثَلاثَةٌ دَعْوَتُهُمْ مُسْتَجَابَةٌ الْحَاجُّ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ تَخْلُفُونَهُ وَالْغَازِي فِي سَبِيلِ الله فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ تَخْلُفُونَهُ وَالْمَرِيضُ فَلا تُغِيظُوهُ وَلا تُضْجِرُوهُ.
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Qummi who has said the following: “I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘Three people’s prayers are accepted: one who has gone to performing Hajj, thus, consider how can you deal properly with his affairs in his absence, a soldier fighting for the cause of Allah, thus, consider how can you deal properly with his affairs in his absence, and a person suffering from an illness, thus, do not annoy or disturb him.’”

2ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ كَانَ أَبِي (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ خَمْسُ دَعَوَاتٍ لا يُحْجَبْنَ عَنِ الرَّبِّ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى دَعْوَةُ الإمَامِ الْمُقْسِطِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْمَظْلُومِ يَقُولُ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لأنْتَقِمَنَّ لَكَ وَلَوْ بَعْدَ حِينٍ وَدَعْوَةُ الْوَلَدِ الصَّالِحِ لِوَالِدَيْهِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْوَالِدِ الصَّالِحِ لِوَلَدِهِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ لأخِيهِ بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ فَيَقُولُ وَلَكَ مِثْلُهُ.
2. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ari has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “My father (a.s.) has said, ‘Five kinds of prayers are not barred from the Lord, the Most Blessed, the Most High: the prayer of an Imam who is just in his dealings, the prayer of an oppressed as Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has said, “I will revenge for you even if it may come after a long time,” the prayer of a virtuous son for his parents, the prayer of a virtuous father for his son and the prayer of a believing person for his brother (in belief) in his absence to whom it is said, ‘You will have as your reward just like what you asked for him.’”

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) إِيَّاكُمْ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ فَإِنَّهَا تُرْفَعُ فَوْقَ السَّحَابِ حَتَّى يَنْظُرَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهَا فَيَقُولَ ارْفَعُوهَا حَتَّى أَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَدَعْوَةَ الْوَالِدِ فَإِنَّهَا أَحَدُّ مِنَ السَّيْفِ.
3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Beware of the prayer of an oppressed; it climbs over the cloud and Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, looks at it and says, “Raise it up so it is accepted,” and beware of the prayer of a father; it is sharper than a sword.’”

4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ كَانَ أَبِي يَقُولُ اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّ دَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ تَصْعَدُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ.
4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al- Husayn ibn Sa’Id from his brother al-Hassan from Zar’a from Sama’a from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “My father (a.s.) would say, ‘Stay away from injustice and oppression; the prayer of an oppressed climbs into the heavens.’”

5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ قَدَّمَ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ثُمَّ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ.
5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever prays for forty believing persons and then for himself, his prayer will be accepted.’”

6ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ طَلْحَةَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) أَرْبَعَةٌ لا تُرَدُّ لَهُمْ دَعْوَةٌ حَتَّى تُفَتَّحَ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَتَصِيرَ إِلَى الْعَرْشِ الْوَالِدُ لِوَلَدِهِ وَالْمَظْلُومُ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ وَالْمُعْتَمِرُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ وَالصَّائِمُ حَتَّى يُفْطِرَ.
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Ali ibn al-Nu’Man from ‘Abd Allah ibn Talhah al-Nahdi from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘The prayers of four people are not turned back before the door to heaven opens and they move to the Throne: the prayer of a father for his son, the prayer of an oppressed against his oppressor, the prayer of one who perfonns ‘Umrah until his returning home and the prayer of a person fasting before breaking his fast.’”

7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أَسْرَعَ إِجَابَةً مِنْ دَعْوَةِ غَائِبٍ لِغَائِبٍ.
7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Holy Prophet has said, ‘No prayer is more quickly accepted than the prayer of one unseen for another unseen, that is, in each other’s absence.’”

8ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) دَعَا مُوسَى (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) وَأَمَّنَ هَارُونُ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) وَأَمَّنَتِ الْمَلائِكَةُ (عَلَيهِم السَّلام) فَقَالَ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَتُكُما فَاسْتَقِيما وَمَنْ غَزَا فِي سَبِيلِ الله اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ كَمَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَكُمَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Moses prayed and Hamn said Amin and the angels said Amin. Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High, then said, “I have accepted your prayer be steadfast”, (10:89) and the prayer of one who fights for the cause of Allah will be answered just like the prayer of two of you (Moses and Hamn) is accepted to the Day of Judgment.’”
