1
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ الظُّلْمُ ثَلاثَةٌ ظُلْمٌ يَغْفِرُهُ الله وَظُلْمٌ لا يَغْفِرُهُ الله وَظُلْمٌ لا يَدَعُهُ الله فَأَمَّا الظُّلْمُ الَّذِي لا يَغْفِرُهُ فَالشِّرْكُ وَأَمَّا الظُّلْمُ الَّذِي يَغْفِرُهُ فَظُلْمُ الرَّجُلِ نَفْسَهُ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الله وَأَمَّا الظُّلْمُ الَّذِي لا يَدَعُهُ فَالْمُدَايَنَةُ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ.
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from Harun ibn al-Jahm from al-Mufaddal ibn Salih from Sa’d ibn Tarif from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “There are three kinds of injustice: the injustice that Allah forgives, the injustice He does not forgive and the injustices that He does not leave without His judgment. The injustice that He does not forgive is to consider things to be His partners. The one that He forgives is the injustice of people against their own souls in the matters between them and Allah. The one that He does not leave without His judgment is the injustice that one person commits against the other in their dealings.”

2ـ عَنْهُ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصادِ قَالَ قَنْطَرَةٌ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ لا يَجُوزُهَا عَبْدٌ بِمَظْلِمَةٍ.
2. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from al-Hajjal from Ghalib ibn Muhammad from those whom has mentioned (in his book) from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “About the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, ‘. . . your Lord keeps an eye on ( al-Mirsad) (all evil-doing people),’ (89:14) the Imam said, ‘ Al-Mirsad in this verse refers to a bridge on the way (to paradise) that is not passable for a servant who has committed injustice to others.’”

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ وَعُبَيْدِ الله الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ شَيْخٍ مِنَ النَّخَعِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِنِّي لَمْ أَزَلْ وَالِياً مُنْذُ زَمَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ إِلَى يَوْمِي هَذَا فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ تَوْبَةٍ قَالَ فَسَكَتَ ثُمَّ أَعَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لا حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَ إِلَى كُلِّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ.
3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Wahab ibn ‘Abd Rabbihi and ‘Ubayd Allah al-Tawil from Shaykh from al-Nakha’ who has said the following: “Once I asked abu Ja’far (a.s.) ‘I have been working as a governor from the time of al-Hajjaj to this time, can my repentance be accepted?’ The Imam remained quiet. I repeated my question and then he said, ‘No, until you pay back everything that you owe to the people.’”

4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ صَبِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَا مِنْ مَظْلِمَةٍ أَشَدَّ مِنْ مَظْلِمَةٍ لا يَجِدُ صَاحِبُهَا عَلَيْهَا عَوْناً إِلا الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa’id from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from al-Walid ibn Sabiyh from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “No injustice is more severe than the one against which the oppressed cannot find any support except Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy.”

5ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ لَمَّا حَضَرَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِما السَّلام) الْوَفَاةُ ضَمَّنِي إِلَى صَدْرِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ أُوصِيكَ بِمَا أَوْصَانِي بِهِ أَبِي (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) حِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ وَبِمَا ذَكَرَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَوْصَاهُ بِهِ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِيَّاكَ وَظُلْمَ مَنْ لا يَجِدُ عَلَيْكَ نَاصِراً إِلا الله.
5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Isma’il ibn Mehran from Drust ibn abu Mansur from ‘Isa ibn Bashir from abu Hamza al-Thumali from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “When Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) was about to pass away he held me to his chest and then said, ‘My son, I make my will to you as my father did to me when he was about to pass away and that which his father willed to him. ’ He said, ‘My son, beware of the kind of injustice against which the oppressed cannot find any support except Allah.’”

6ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ خَافَ الْقِصَاصَ كَفَّ عَنْ ظُلْمِ النَّاسِ.
6. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from his father from Harun ibn al-Jahm from Hafs ibn ‘Umar from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever is afraid of retaliation should stay away from doing injustice to people.’”

7ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مَنْ أَصْبَحَ لا يَنْوِي ظُلْمَ أَحَدٍ غَفَرَ الله لَهُ مَا أَذْنَبَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ مَا لَمْ يَسْفِكْ دَماً أَوْ يَأْكُلْ مَالَ يَتِيمٍ حَرَاماً.
7. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever rises in the morning without any intention of doing injustice to anyone, Allah forgives his sins that day unless it is a murder or consuming the property of the orphans unjustly.’”

8ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ أَصْبَحَ لا يَهُمُّ بِظُلْمِ أَحَدٍ غَفَرَ الله مَا اجْتَرَمَ.
8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever rises in the morning without any intention of doing injustice to anyone, Allah forgives his sins.”

9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مَظْلِمَةً أُخِذَ بِهَا فِي نَفْسِهِ أَوْ فِي مَالِهِ أَوْ فِي وُلْدِهِ.
9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever does injustice (financially), it (recompense) is taken from his life, property or his children.”

10ـ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّهُ ظُلُمَاتُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
10. Ibn abu ‘Umayr has narrated from certain individuals of his people from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Beware of doing injustice; on the Day of Judgment there will be much darkness.’”

11ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّهُ ظُلُمَاتُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
11. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mansur from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Be afraid of doing injustice; on the Day of Judgment there will be much darkness.’”

12ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَظْلِمُ بِمَظْلِمَةٍ إِلا أَخَذَهُ الله بِهَا فِي نَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ وَأَمَّا الظُّلْمُ الَّذِي بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الله فَإِذَا تَابَ غَفَرَ الله لَهُ.
12. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Umar ibn ‘Udhaynah from Zurara from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever does injustice (financially) Allah takes it (recompense) from his life or property. However, the injustice that is between him and Allah, Allah forgives it if he repents.’”

13ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الأعْلَى مَوْلَى آلِ سَامٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مُبْتَدِئاً مَنْ ظَلَمَ سَلَّطَ الله عَلَيْهِ مَنْ يَظْلِمُهُ [ أَوْ عَلَى عَقِبِهِ ] أَوْ عَلَى عَقِبِ عَقِبِهِ قُلْتُ هُوَ يَظْلِمُ فَيُسَلِّطُ الله عَلَى عَقِبِهِ أَوْ عَلَى عَقِبِ عَقِبِهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعافاً خافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا الله وَلْيَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً.
13. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ibn abu Najaran from ‘Ammar ibn Hakim from ‘Abd al-‘Ala’ Mawla Ale Sam who has said the following: “Once Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) on his own initiation said, ‘Whoever does injustice, Allah makes someone to dominate him or his descendents of first or second generations.’ I then asked, ‘It is he who has done injustice, how will Allah make his descendents suffer?’ The Imam said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, says, “Those who are concerned about the welfare of their own children after their death, should have fear of Allah (when dealing with the orphans) and guide them properly.’” (4:9)

14ـ عَنْهُ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَوْحَى إِلَى نَبِيٍّ مِنْ أَنْبِيَائِهِ فِي مَمْلَكَةِ جَبَّارٍ مِنَ الْجَبَّارِينَ أَنِ ائْتِ هَذَا الْجَبَّارَ فَقُلْ لَهُ إِنَّنِي لَمْ أَسْتَعْمِلْكَ عَلَى سَفْكِ الدِّمَاءِ وَاتِّخَاذِ الأمْوَالِ وَإِنَّمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتُكَ لِتَكُفَّ عَنِّي أَصْوَاتَ الْمَظْلُومِينَ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَدَعْ ظُلامَتَهُمْ وَإِنْ كَانُوا كُفَّاراً.
14. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ibn Mahbub from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, sent revelations to one of His prophets who lived in the time of an oppressive and tyranical ruler. It said, ‘Tell this tyrant, “I have not given you this opportunity to shade blood and seize properties. I have given you this opportunity only that you hold back the voices of the oppressed from coming to Me. I will not allow any oppression without justice being served, even though they (the oppressed) might be unbelievers.’”

15ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ مَالَ أَخِيهِ ظُلْماً وَلَمْ يَرُدَّهُ إِلَيْهِ أَكَلَ جَذْوَةً مِنَ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
15. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from al- Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Ali ibn abu Hamza from abu Basir who has said the following: “I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘Whoever consumes the property of his brother (in belief) unjustly and does not return it to him, he will have to eat a chunk of fire on the Day of Judgment.’”

16ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ الْعَامِلُ بِالظُّلْمِ وَالْمُعِينُ لَهُ وَالرَّاضِي بِهِ شُرَكَاءُ ثَلاثَتُهُمْ.
16. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Talhah ibn Zayd from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘One acting unjustly, his supporter, and one who agrees with such act are three partners.’”

17ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَيَكُونُ مَظْلُوماً فَمَا يَزَالُ يَدْعُو حَتَّى يَكُونَ ظَالِماً.
17. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following: “I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘A servant (of Allah) may become oppressed and continues praying against the oppressor until he himself becomes an oppressor (for excessive praying against him).”’

18ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي نَهْشَلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ مَنْ عَذَرَ ظَالِماً بِظُلْمِهِ سَلَّطَ الله عَلَيْهِ مَنْ يَظْلِمُهُ فَإِنْ دَعَا لَمْ يَسْتَجِبْ لَهُ وَلَمْ يَأْجُرْهُ الله عَلَى ظُلامَتِهِ.
18. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from abu Nahshal from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Whoever finds excuses for an unjust person Allah gives power to another person who will oppress him. If he prays, his prayers will not be heard and Allah will not give him any reward for his suffering injustice.”

19ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ مَا انْتَصَرَ الله مِنْ ظَالِمٍ إِلا بِظَالِمٍ وَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَذلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضاً.
19. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from Ali ibn abu Hamza from abu Basir from his father abu la’ far (a.s.) who has said the following: “Allah retaliates an oppressor through another oppressor only. It is in the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, ‘Thus do We make the unjust friends of one another because of their evil deeds.’” (6:129)

20ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ ظَلَمَ أَحَداً فَفَاتَهُ فَلْيَسْتَغْفِرِ الله لَهُ فَإِنَّهُ كَفَّارَةٌ لَهُ.
20. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from his father al-Nawfali from his father al-Sakuni from his father Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘If one does injustice to a person and he passes away, he (the doer of injustice) must ask forgiveness from Allah for him (oppressed) and it will be the expiation for his injustice.’”

21ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَلَفٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَرْوَزِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ أَصْبَحَ وَهُوَ لا يَهُمُّ بِظُلْمِ أَحَدٍ غَفَرَ الله لَهُ مَا اجْتَرَمَ.
21. Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Kufi has narrated from Ibrahim ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Khalaf from Musa ibn Ibrahim al-Marwazi from abu al-Hassan Musa (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever rises in the morning and has no intention to do injustice to anyone Allah forgives his sins.”

22ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَجُلانِ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) فِي مُدَارَاةٍ بَيْنَهُمَا وَمُعَامَلَةٍ فَلَمَّا أَنْ سَمِعَ كَلامَهُمَا قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ مَا ظَفِرَ أَحَدٌ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْ ظَفَرٍ بِالظُّلْمِ أَمَا إِنَّ الْمَظْلُومَ يَأْخُذُ مِنْ دِينِ الظَّالِمِ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا يَأْخُذُ الظَّالِمُ مِنْ مَالِ الْمَظْلُومِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ يَفْعَلِ الشَّرَّ بِالنَّاسِ فَلا يُنْكِرِ الشَّرَّ إِذَا فُعِلَ بِهِ أَمَا إِنَّهُ إِنَّمَا يَحْصُدُ ابْنُ آدَمَ مَا يَزْرَعُ وَلَيْسَ يَحْصِدُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُرِّ حُلْواً وَلا مِنَ الْحُلْوِ مُرّاً فَاصْطَلَحَ الرَّجُلانِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَا.
22. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Ali ibn abu Hamza from abu Basir who has said the following: “Once two people came to see Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) about the differences that they had over a deal between them and when the Imam heard their case, he said, ‘To achieve victory through injustice is not victory in anything good. What the oppressed takes away from the religion of the oppressor is much more than what the oppressor takes from the property of the oppressed.’ The Imam then said, ‘Whoever does evil to people should call it evil when it is done to him. Is it not the case that children of Adam reap what they sow? No one expects to harvest sweet from sour and vice versa. The two men then agreed to a settlement before standing up to leave.’”

23ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ خَافَ الْقِصَاصَ كَفَّ عَنْ ظُلْمِ النَّاسِ.
23. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn Asbat from those whom has mentioned (in his book) from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘One who is afraid of retaliation does not do injustice to people.’”
