Reward of helping a Muslim brother in his difficulties and in fulfilling his desires

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی بْنِ الْمُتَوَکِّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ السَّعْدَآبَادِیُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ زَیْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ مَنْ أَغَاثَ أَخَاهُ الْمُؤْمِنَ اللَّهْفَانَ عِنْدَ جَهْدِهِ فَنَفَّسَ کُرْبَتَهُ وَ أَعَانَهُ عَلَی نَجَاحِ حَاجَتِهِ کَانَتْ لَهُ بِذَلِکَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَتَانِ وَ سَبْعُونَ رَحْمَهً مِنَ اللَّهِ یُعَجِّلُ لَهُ مِنْهَا وَاحِدَهً تصلح [یُصْلِحُ] بِهَا مَعِیشَتَهُ وَ یَدَّخِرُ لَهُ إِحْدَی وَ سَبْعِینَ رَحْمَهً لِأَفْزَاعِ یَوْمِ الْقِیَامَهِ وَ أَهْوَالِهَا.
1. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “One who goes to a brother at the time of his difficulty and solves his problem and helps him in fulfilling his wishes, seventy-two blessings of Allah will be sent down on him for this deed. Out of which, one will be to improve his worldly life and the remaining seventy-one will be a reserved against fear of Qiyamat.”
