Reward of avoiding a sin

أَبِی ره عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ یَحْیَی عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَهْزِیَارَ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِی الْمُغِیرَهِ عَنْ طَلْحَهَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَرَّ عِیسَی ابْنُ مَرْیَمَ ع عَلَی قَوْمٍ یَبْکُونَ فَقَالَ مَا یُبْکِی هَؤُلَاءِ فَقِیلَ یَبْکُونَ عَلَی ذُنُوبِهِمْ قَالَ فَلْیَدَعُوهَا یُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ.
1. Abi (rah) from Muhammad b. Yahya from al-Hussain b. Ishaq from Ali b. Mahziyar from al-Hussain b. Sa’eed from Muhammad b. Khalid from Abi al-Mughira from Talha b. Zayd from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Isa bin Maryam (a.s.) passed by a community. He asked them, ‘Why are you people crying?’ They replied, ‘We are crying over our sins’. He remarked, ‘If they give up these sins they would be forgiven’.”
