1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ره عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الْعَبْدَ الصَّالِحَ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ (ع) فَقَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ لَكَ تَرْكَهُ قُلْتُ مَا تَرَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَهُ وَ أَنَا مُقَصِّرٌ قَالَ صَلِّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ مَا شِئْتَ تَطَوُّعاً- وَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ مَا شِئْتَ تَطَوُّعاً وَ عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ ذَلِكَ قَالَ وَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بِالنَّهَارِ عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) تَطَوُّعاً فَقَالَ نَعَمْ
1. My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan both narrated to me from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from Qāsim ibn Muḥammad Al-Jawhari, from ‘Ali ibn Abī Ḥamzah, who said: I asked the Righteous Slave (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) about going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) replied, “I do not want you to abandon it.” I asked, “What is your opinion about establishing voluntary prayers there if I am a MUQASSIR?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “You can establish as many voluntary prayers as you like in Masjid Al-Ḥarām, in the Mosque of the Messenger (s.a.a.w.), and next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Verily I love (doing) that.” I asked, “Can I establish voluntary prayers next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) during the day?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes.”

2 حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُوسَوِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ التَّطَوُّعِ عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ بِمَكَّةَ وَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَ أَنَا مُقَصِّرٌ قَالَ تَطَوَّعْ عِنْدَهُ وَ أَنْتَ مُقَصِّرٌ مَا شِئْتَ وَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ وَ فِي مَشَاهِدِ النَّبِيِّص فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ وَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) مِثْلَهُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْخَشَّابِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) مِثْلَهُ

Ja’far ibn Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm Al-Mūsawi narrated to me from ‘Ubaydillāh ibn Nahīk, from Ibn Abī ‘Umayr, who said: I asked Abāl Ḥasan (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) about establishing voluntary prayers next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.), in Makkah, and in Madīnah as a Muqassir. Imam (a.s.) replied, “You can establish as many voluntary prayers as you like as a Muqassir next to his grave, in Masjid Al-Ḥarām, in the Mosque of the Messenger (s.a.a.w.), and in the (holy) sites of the Prophet (s.a.a.w.). Verily this is a blessing.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chains: A) ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain, from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Hāshim, from his father, from Ibn Abī ‘Umayr, and from Ibrāhīm ibn ‘Abdil Ḥamīd, from Abil Ḥasan (a.s.). B) My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Ḥasan ibn Mūsā Al-Khashāb, from Ja’far ibn Muḥammad ibn Ḥakīm Al-Khath’ami, from Ibrāhīm ibn ‘Abdil Ḥamīd, from Abil Ḥasan (a.s.).

3 حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الْكِسَائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُصَدِّقِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مُوسَى السَّابَاطِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْحَائِرِ قَالَ لَيْسَ الصَّلَاةُ إِلَّا الْفَرْضَ بِالتَّقْصِيرِ وَ لَا تُصَلِّي النَّوَافِلَ
3. ‘Ali ibn Muḥammad ibn Ya’qūb Al-Kisā`i narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ḥasan ibn Faďďāl, from ‘Amr ibn Sa’īd, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from ‘Ammār ibn Mūsā Al-Sābāťi, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) about establishing prayers in the Ḥā`ir. Imam (a.s.) replied, “One should only establish the obligatory prayers in Taqsīr and he does not have to establish the NĀFILAH prayers.”

4 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ التَّطَوُّعِ عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ مَشَاهِدِ النَّبِيِّ (ص) وَ الْحَرَمَيْنِ وَ التَّطَوُّعِ فِيهِنَّ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَ نَحْنُ مُقَصِّرُونَ قَالَ نَعَمْ تَطَوَّعْ مَا قَدَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌ
4. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Ali ibn Ismā’īl, from Safwān ibn Yaḥyā, from Isḥāq ibn ‘Ammār, who said: I asked Abal Ḥasan (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) if a Muqassir can establish voluntary prayers next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.), at (different holy) sites of the Prophet (s.a.a.w.), and in the two Ḥarams. Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes. Establish as many voluntary prayers as you can for it is a blessing.”

5 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي الْحَسَنِ (ع) جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ- أَتَنَفَّلُ فِي الْحَرَمَيْنِ وَ عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ أَنَا أُقَصِّرُ قَالَ نَعَمْ مَا قَدَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ

Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn Walīd narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-Saffār, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Safwān ibn Yaḥyā, from Isḥāq ibn ‘Ammār, who said: I asked Abal Ḥasan (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)), “May I sacrifice myself for you! Can I establish voluntary prayers in the two Ḥarams and next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) if I am a Muqassir?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes, as much as you can.”

6 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ التَّطَوُّعِ عِنْدَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) وَ مَشَاهِدِ النَّبِيِّص وَ الْحَرَمَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَ نَحْنُ نُقَصِّرُ قَالَ نَعَمْ تَطَوَّعْ مَا قَدَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ

My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan both narrated to me from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from Qāsim ibn Muḥammad Al-Jawhari, from ‘Ali ibn Abī Ḥamzah, who said: I asked Abā Ibrāhīm (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) if a Muqassir can establish voluntary prayers next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.), in the (different holy) sites of the Prophet (s.a.a.w.), and in the two Ḥarams. Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes. Establish as many voluntary prayers as you can.” Note from the Author: My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh who asked Ayyūb ibn Nūḥ about that which has been narrated in regards to Taqsīr of the prayers in the holy sites like Makkah, Madīnah, Kūfah, and next to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). He replied, “I (believe it is also permissible to) establish the obligatory prayers in Taqsīr, and Safwān used to do the same. Ibn Abī ‘Umayr and the rest of our companions also used to establish the obligatory prayers in Taqsīr in these four sites.”
